My bitch is due on the 17th December, but she has kept me up all night with heavey breathing and ripping up paper, and she has not eaten a thing today, and one big hole in the garden, But now she is a sleep, She has not started pushin so how long can this go on.

Sounds like she will start either tonight or on the due date then, no need to worry until she starts to push. Shepherds are generally very easy whelpers. An average is 1-2 days but all bitches are different, so don't take my words as gospel.
