Hi all, I`ve bought leather settees for the first time & I`m wondering what sort of polish everyone uses on them. The girl in the shop said to wipe them down with body milk lotion????
I was thinking some sort of beeswax stuff no & again with just a duster in between times. They`re dark brown, so as not to show the mud too much :D
What do others use?

We were advised to use just a damp cloth, Christine, that was 20 years ago and they are only just starting to show their age, but I suppose different manufacturers may use a different treatment on the leather so I guess the best thing is to follow the advise of the supplier.
Hi
When we got ours we were given a leather cleaner that you add to water. We also use baby wipes to get the dust off but it doesnt seem to do much good as two kids, two dogs and a cat always make it dirty.

We've just bought a leather 3 piece suit, we were given 2 bottles of a product called Cherish Leather Care, 1 part cherish to 12 parts water, seems to clean really well............have also used a damp soft cloth with fairy liquid seems to do the job just as well!

Ikea do a brilliant pack of leather cleaner & leather polish, the cleaner gets off ground in Munsterlander mud with ease. Around £12 in price, I think but don't quote!
Thanks all :) We`ve got an Ikea in Madrid so I`ll see if they have the stuff online. Is Munsterland mud as dirty as Labrador mud tho??? ;)
Saddle soap I can get as well, loads of horses here :)
We only have Safeway & a Tesco checkout but haven`t seen anything in them for leather.
It seems nothing more than a damp cloth is needed so thats great, low mantainence :D
One more thing, does leather scratch easily?

Hi,
I thought all of you might find the information on this site informative. There are many different types of leather and leather treatment. The type you have will determine what you clean it with and how you care for it. Hope this helps some :) :) :)
