Today I went to the cash machine and as usual after getting money, card and receipt I said "Thank You" now better half who is not normally with me really took the P**S all the way round the shops (which made me think about returning his present :D )
So please put my mind at rest and tell me someone else says "Thanks" as well.

I even say things like 'sorry' when I bump into a lamp post/wall, Say sorry to table legs if I kick them. Say thankyou to animals if they do as I say!!!!!
So nope, you are not alone!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just hope noone listens when I do it!!!!!!!
Lea :o)))))))))

If i talk to machines then its usally because im swearing at them telling them to work! Even use threts!!!!
I also have chats with my dogs and in the handling at LKA today i just started talking to my dog.
Also had a firm chat with other little girlie before we went in the ring but it didn't help her and silly thing wouldn't let the judge touch her!!!!!

Bet your OH talks to his car, Karen. I do talk to machines or rather click at them like horses or tell them to Cmon, cmon. Reminds me of John Cleese thrashing the mini in Clockwise or was it Fawlty Towers?

I just pray to mine :D In the hope that I'm not over my overdraft limit too ;)

It is good manners to thank the little man in the machine, after all if you had to sit there and give money out all day wouldn't you like to be thanked??
Dill, very polite (and possibly quite mad :D)

Dill, there are little imps in all these machines. Have pity on the poor little so-and-sos in the supermarket checkouts who have to scan the goods and input the price to the till.
So those of us with the good manners to thank them - be proud of yourselves!

Hey I always say sorry to lamp posts etc what ever I walk into.
Scarily because I've been off work with my hand,I've been spending a lot of time with my nephew who's 3 and his Dad (my brother) took him to the cash point today, he turned away but the little one said in a loud voice in front of the whole queue.
"Manners Daddy, say thank you" He did as well but cursed me all day.
He's always been a bit miserable though, even refusing to sing Carols around ASDA :D with the children of course, or go on the swings ;)
