Topic Other Boards / Foo / Any eBay'ers out there?
- By mygirl [gb] Date 11.12.03 14:38 UTC
Ok i sold an item, and the buyer has just emailed me saying that they received an email via ebay's forwarding system from another member saying that they did not win the item and don't send payment as it is against ebay rules to buy outside of ebay?
They clearly HAVE won the item it says so on the end of auction, and my selling page and feedback to be left page?
Slightly confused to say the least!
Around 6weeks ago i won an item but at the last minute my bid was pushed upto the max after some searching i realised i was the victim of a shill bidder, i contacted the seller and told him what i thought and i got an email full of abuse back anyway he got suspended along with his shilling id, since then he has listed things under several names and between myself and another buyer we have got them suspended.
I really suspect it is them interfearing (sp?) with my auctions, awaiting an email back off my buyer to see what the members name is.
But i think my auctions are going to get wrecked in future :( Arghhhh!! I know ebay may suspend the member but if it's him he is just going to keep getting new id's and doing it again.
Any ideas?

I would contact ebay's administration and ask them to sort it out.

I got a mail from them on Monday (which unfortunately I have deleted) talking about the mediation service they offer & dispute resolution.  If someone is interferring with your auctions it must be against the Privacy agreement etc

Good luck

Hiya
I ebay... have been doing now for a number of months...
i bidded for something the other day only to be told the seller had been suspended etc
In your case i would contact ebay direct if posible and ask them where you stand.
If the seller is reputable(sp?) then he/she will understand.
I dont know if the suspended ebayers can re-join .. if they r using the same address/ email/ or credit details then im sure they will get rejected...

Good luck

Nope Donna ebay is a complete farce half the time, i have been buying/selling over 3 years and hardly had any problems, but when you do ebay won't be bothered.
Suspended ebayers can get re-instated, sometimes it's a month ban sometimes it's life (in the case of shilling). And no they won't get rejected as ebay don't check everyones cc details being used before.

Still waiting for the email from my buyer and hopefully it will give me a clue to who is behind it. :O

Oh god my girl.. shilling is really bad!
I cant believe they dont check peoples details...
I have had many non-payers and always given people a fair chance but 9 time sout of 10 ebay dont do anything about it :(
Still... i hope you sort your problem out.. cant you retract the bid?

In extreme cases ebay can stop reregistering through there IPS. I have used the mediation either self mediation or for a fee they will provide a mediator,
