Hi

Could anyone recommend a good internet site where I could get a flashing thing to put on my dogs collar.

Sorry don't know of any online place but I got mine in the small local petshop and it's great :D

Highly recommend for anyone walking a black dog in a dark field :D

Except that they can fall off when the dog goes through the bushes and they go rusty when the dog decides to do midnight skinny dipping :D

LOL - my Sam's getting on a bit so I try to keep her away from bushes etc at night in case she gets poked

Also stay away from water as she tends to swim in a straight line away from the shore until you throw a ball to bring her back in

She does neither in daylight thoug :)

I haven't got one yet but people we meet in the woods have flashing key rings they bought from Milletts (or any camping shop I would think) - these seem really good.  We use the fluorescent yellow collar with flashing red lights (pet shops) which is also good.
Best wishes

Most pet shops sell the "halo" which is around £4.50; it lasts for around 100 hours and looks like a pink neon tube in the dark :D  Canac do flashing light collars which are around £15 for the largest size but I have not found them so robust.

Saddlers sell clip on lights for stirrups which may suit you.

Hi

Thanx everyone though I do like the idea of a pink halo then maybe everyone would stop calling her a He, although she's not gracefull, delicate, dainty or agile and she is very hairy, big footed, clumsy, slobbery and dirty! Oh my god she sounds like a man to me must go and check.

Unfortunately if she has much of a ruff around her neck the halo may get hidden in the coat.Gillian

the one i had was brighter then a tourch even if it got coverd in fur it would shine threw it hurts your eyes to look at it straight on

Well In that case I suppose I should have tried them all first then to find the brightest but it got lost in his ruff.
