I was just reading an old thread about this man and wondered if anyone knew any more about him, I saw adverts of his recently in scot ads again. Luckily I was suspicious as there were several ads for different breeds with the same phone number. It is a shame for reputable breeders in the area as I for one am now wary of Ayrshire numbers,in case they are connected to him.

Years ago we were looking for a puppy in the Edinburgh area and went to a "respected" breeder to look at some.... I was horrified at the conditions I found there. the poor mums and pups were on concrete floors with only some newspaper and there were lots of them. They looked so sad and miserable. We left without buying one. I just found the same breeder online saying how much she loves her dogs......strange way to show it,unless she has changed greatly over the years!

Hi Liz, The breeder in Ayrshire buys in puppies from Ireland, is currently advertising in the Daily Record, he is being investigated by Trading Standards, but dont know how anyone can stop him doing this. Unfortunately Ayrshire is my area, so, if I get enquires for puppies, I do warn people not to go to this person for a puppy, the other one you are talking about, all decent breeders know exactly who this is as well, she is another one I warn people about. Both these "breeders" are selling my breed.

This guy was investigated by the SSPCA and the police, they have obviously not done anything as he is advertising in all the papers again, including the Daily Record. I can't believe the papers would accept his adverts just to get money, I mean, its obvious that these pups are from farms, and these papers are just encouraging this evil trade.
The puppies obviously don't have anything physically wrong with them ( just now ) as the SSPCA are doing nothing, but I can't help but wonder what state they are in psycologically, and I just can't believe people are being stupid enough to go to this guy!!
Also, I wonder what happens to the pups that he can't sell, once they get to a certain age? Doesnt bear thinking about does it?

Some years ago I complained to a newspaper about an advertisement like this. They told me that they were unable to refuse a legal advert (which sadly they are) because of the fair trading laws.
