I have a bitch who has had 2 puppies this morning last one at 6am now she has the water sack stuck there since the birth of the second puppy, she is not straining and is very calm is this normal she still feel very firm, can't grt holf of vets and have left message on emergancy switchboard any knowledgeable people please help

Keep trying to get a vet urgently. If your own vet isn't available, try other local practices. You could also ring local experienced breeders if you know of any. If you really can't get a vet from anywhere, there are a couple of things that might help - but they cold also make things worse if the bag is definitely intact. So keep 'phoning for another 30 minutes or so and if you still don't have a vet/breeder post here again

Chiko had 2 pups and went for 6 hrs with me frantically phoning vet ,she was calm but I knew the pups were in there,eventuall(!!!!) vet said bring her in and she had next 2 by section,phone another vet and get help as i felt my vet waited too long and put both bitch and pups at risk,Sandra.
