i went on a walk today with 5 month old lily (JRT) when a man with a pair of large dogs asked me how old she was, i told him and he asked if she had been vaccinated, i said yes and he told me off and said she shouldn't be allowed out ????

that's true ! he made me feel so guilty temporarily, then as i was walking away i got all angry and wondered who the hell he was for questioning me on me taking out a 5 month old ! silly man

my house would be destroyed if i didn't take her out anyway, absolutely manic (and teething too !)

Don't get mad, get even! You must see if you can bump into this person again and educate him properly.

vets vaccinate much earlier than what they use to it sound s to me that it is ok to take your dog out and get him socialised ,after his booster ,of couse ask your vet before taking my advice.

That man is talking rubbish, as long as your pup has been fully vacinated then there is no problem at all!!

I was told by our vet that you should only walk them 2/3 times a day, 20 mins each time. Don't know if you knew that?

we only take her for short walks, she chases madly after a ball for a while and then gets tired, although she tries not to admit that :D

the man sounds like an idiot to me . as soon as they get there jabs i think its fine to take them out for short walks. and at 5 months old pup is hardly tiny so next time tell him to get lost. if he comes across to tell you again. tell him to look it up then get back to you with his findings , that will show mr know it all!
