Hi all
Apologies if you all know this, but I emailed the KC for some clarification on points I wasn't sure about. Part of the reply was that the Good Citizen Certificate should be brought along on the day, as spot checks will be done.
Just thought I'd pass this on in case it helps someone :)
Lesley
Thanks for that, Lesley..........I don't know whever to give the Good Citizen class a go or not, but at least I'll now know to take along the certificate, if I do enter it.
But surely, if the K.C. are going to do spot checks then they really should have said in the schedule that Good Citizen Certificates should be available for inspection :(
Did they have anything else of interest to say about the class - or perhaps they're as much in the dark about it as we are

Well, my dog's cert is in his pet name, and the owner is put down as me, whereas for KC purposes he is jointly in name with hubby, so I asked about that and they said just to enter in KC registered ownership and bring along certificate. I was quite impressed, cos they replied really quickly :)
Still not sure whether to put him in it though!
Lesley
Edited to say, mind you it could be in the schedule and I've just not noticed it :D
Yeah, I had wondered about names, as it is my dog's pet name that is on her certificate as well.....but, I suppose that most people will be in the same boat :)
I did wonder if there was perhaps a time scale involved e.g. the test had to have been taken within the last 12 months - but I couldn't see anything in the schedule to that effect, so I guess not.

No, I think its just along as they have got at least one of the stages, with no time limit. Maybe this year it will be all hiccups, with everyone dazed and confused, and by next year all will be clear. Or it will be abolished :D
Lesley

yes they are going to do spot check,i rang the kc today beacuse i lost brie certifcate, from southern countries show where she got hers.so i got to find it,or do i take the risk in entred her in the class, beacuse they cannot check every class at the same time.

Might not be worth the risk Briedog, they might get the individual ring stewards to check. You could always try telling them Brie ate it on the way to the show :D
