Hi
Could someone put my mind at ease please.Well I am a breeder and I had this couple who wanted one of my puppies when I asked how long would he be left on his own the reply was that it would not be any of my business well then I did return her deposit and explained that that was not the kind of home I was looking for my puppy. She has now turned nasty.Well I know I have done the right thing.Would you agree with me?

They are your puppies until the paperwork is completed to both parties satisfaction as far as I am aware. I think you have shown a responsible attitude , but then I am not a breeder ;) :)

You're absolutely right, guest. They're your pups until the paperwork is signed, and you make the rules. Let her turn nasty - she doesn't sound the right person to have a puppy.

Well done guest, sounds like you are a very resposible breeder and have the puppies welfare at heart. I take my hat off to you

You did exactly the right thing I would have done the same if it had been one of my puppies.Gillian

I think you did exactly the right thing and I am glad to her you stuck by your principles :)
Pups are like babies and shouldnt be left alone and since it is your pup , that you bred, of course it is your business

There is absolutely no doubt it my mind - it IS your business - it IS your puppy - and as you have returned her deposit - she has NO business with you!!
Glad you stood by your principles!

Have just read your other thread - the Kennel Club should - if they have any sense (!) castigate her for planning on taking in a puppy then leaving it alone all day.
Why not register ??

Bet it would have been your business if they had had a problem because they had left it too long alone, bet your sweet life it would have been your fault. Well done, ignore her, you have an absolute right to ask any question you like, just as they do.
