Well, it looks like Beau has succesfully gotten an infection in her wound from her spay. Not exactly sure, but it has some almost yellow lquid slightly coming out and dried blood around it. The bad thing is, there are no emergency vets in Mexico. I put a warm cloth on it and than Bactine. Everyone keeps telling me it will be ok. Maybe it will. It might be just a little irritated. Hopefully i wont have to take her to the vet. (very expensive$$$$) What kind of things do i look for in an infection of a dog???

Sorry but she needs to see the vet as she will need antibiotics!!!  as this is bad for her, wash it with salt water and dry.

Take her to the vet. She needs antibiotics before the infection takes a serious hold and causes blood poisoning and possibly her death.

Please take her to a vet as soon as you can, but in the meantime, Tea Tree Oil, diluted in hot water and allowed to cool, then washed on with clean cotton wool will help.

Hope she is OK

You said the other day she was licking it so it more than likely came from that, get it to the vet.
You wouldn't deny a child treatment so a dog should be no different.

Temp of more than 38.5,excesive drinking, restlessness. you can use a human antibiotic such as the tetracyclin group.A five day course of
1 tab 3 timas a day.Or if you think its really bad you can use one called Clindomycin,i dont know what its veterinary counterpart is called but I know it has one.Keep the wound clean and dry and dont cover it up.I hope she is better soon.

You must take her to the vets and if you're worried about the expense, get her insured ASAP, you never know when something will go wrong.  If I hadn't insured my dogs, I dread to think how much money I would have spent by now!!
I hope she is better soon though.

I will be taking her to the vet today and hopefully everything is ok with her. In Mexcio they dont have dog insurance.

Her swelling has gone down BIG time and it is looking a lot more normal. Maybe it was the warm cloth i put on it last night. You know when sometimes you have a cut and once you dip it in warm water it usually starts to heal? It looks pretty normal right now.
