Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / which breed?
- By Guest [fr] Date 09.12.03 10:56 UTC
A Year ago I contacted this site for advice on the type of dog to buy, as a pet for my son, medium build, short haired, one that would not dribble, and would be economical to feed.

I think some members thought it such a tall order from such an ignoramous (true), that it verged on a joke. However, a year later we have a lovely French pointer bitch, even tempered, ready for a game, extemely beautful and graceful - almost ideal. Only drawback is that she has a powerful smell of dog. Shampooing only does the trick for a couple of days. I have never noticed anyone elses dog smelling so strongly. Any tips?

Many thanks for previous suggestions

Would this be a French Pyrenean Pointer?

I wd. take it to the vets there are a number of things that can cause a dog to smell doggy and they are usually easy to rectify, being a special shampoo or a change in their diet.
