Having just survived a severe bout of Kennel Cough and a serious worm infection, my 12 week old Border Collie puppy has now been diagnosed with an enlarged heart!!!! Has anyone on the list experienced similar?

I have just had a phone call from a friend that her Dane who is 5 and litter brother to one of mine has an enlarged heart the vets say it was caused by a viral infection, unfortunately for her things do not look good.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friends Dane. It does appear that my 12 week old puppy may have a similar problem also due to a serious infection. Regrettably, it is too early to say at this point. I wish you friend all the best.

Unfortunately my friends Dane was pts this afternoon, he was not responding to any treatment.
