Hi Caroline,
Yes, Dreadnot Gabriel got the RDCC, Ch. Optimus Holly got the RBCC.
My "baby" won MPD and I was absolutely thrilled to bits, clutz that I am I didn't realise he'd won, I thought the judge was asking me to "go and stand over there" so that he could have another look at him, Dohhhh!!! Leo then proceeded to show me up completely, by lying down and refusing to get up whilst the judge was writing his critique - my face was as red as my jacket. It's fast becoming something of a habit this lying down in the ring - almost as if he's saying I've stood for you once that's all you're getting. We're going to have to practice really hard over the next few days, I'll curl up and die if he does it again on Friday.
No incidents this time - I don't think the person involved previously was there.
It would be nice to meet up, I don't know many people as we've only just started showing.

Hi Jan,
WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!! I take it you are pleased with your success, its off to crufts you go now!!!!!!!!!! So if you were nervous about the association, you have got to swallow hard & try not to blush now!! I will definately be at LKA on friday, will be there with my hubby & two woofs, JJ is in open dog, and pinhead peach is in the veteran stakes as she is nearly 9 and is acting like she is 6 months!! Thought we would give it a bash! Great to see optimus holly out, bit soon after she has had a litter, did she look as good as she usually does?
Look forward to meeting you all on friday, travel safely,

Hi, Jan
Well done... i bet there will be loads in MPB on Friday, which will be just my luck as it's Macys first show.
Not sure if i'm going to be wearing my furry jumper yet...though as i have just got over the flu bug, it might come in handy for keeping me warm...as for the christmas spirit...who's bring it?????i'm quite fond of the old bubbly!!!!
Karen.

Hi Sam,
Yes, there was a really good turnout for MPB - 9 entered, I can't remember exactly how many turned up but nearly all, I think. Ferdhu Hoozahunni got 1st and Leo's litter sisters 2nd & 4th, plus his litter brother got 2nd in MPD - a very good day for their breeder.
I've only been to two breed shows but at both there were large turnouts for MPB and very few for MPD. Competition's tough for the bitches eh? I'm glad I got a dog now for my first foray into showing, although I know it will get alot tougher as he get's older
Jan

Hi Sam,
My boy's name is Jenmore Lionheart, he's mainly from the Bunsoro line as his mum goes back onto that line and his dad is a Bunsoro dog. My bitch (who I don't show) was bought purely as a pet from a friend, she also has a bit of Bunsoro in her although going back a few generations.
Like you I'm very new to showing and hardly know anybody, at my first show I tagged along with Leo's brother's owners - it was the first show for both of us and we were like fish out of water. Yesterday Deb, Leo's breeder came to watch her "babies" and also brought one of their sisters, so at least we got a few tips - not that Leo paid any attention to them lol!
What line(s) is your pup from and what is her name? When is your next show? I'm going to the LKA and Manchester are you?
Hope to meet up with you
Jan
hi jan,
I must admit we sound quite alike.
Zena our 9 month old bitch is alot like your 1st dog,we bought her as a pet 1st and foremost,we loved the breed and to socialise her more took her to ringcraft, from there we caught the show bug!!!!
She hasnt loads in her pedigree but her main influence(thats any good)is pitmans, this goes from her grandparents and back.
Her kennel name is kenmilltri tanagra(soon to be "at astonpride" as we have just recieved our affix)
She is the most loveable, kind, calm, laidback dog i have ever known shes wonderful, dont know where id be without her now.
She has qualifiedfor crufts at the midland counties(she came 3rd)thank goodness!with her missing out at the bullmastiff ass!cant say for definate if we will be there friday, depends if her seasons finished, fingers crossed,we are hoping!!
We have also recently added to the family too,and brought another bitch, storm, who is 15 weeks old now(this will be my husbands"show"dog)she is wonderful too, completely different from zena though she is very active and alert, she stands like a rock already when we go to ringcraft we have high hopes for her.
She comes from the evenstar line and her dad is CH brinscall huckleberry of evenstar.
Iwill let you know nearer friday if we will be able to make it and we will have to meet up, its nice to make friends with people who have the same breed as you .
Anyway would be nice to speak to you again soon.
Take care,
sam
