tess has never liked crates ever since she was a pup, the only time she will go in in a crate is in the car/van as the crates are fitted, anyway i have a crate for jack who can usually be found in there sleeping with toby, the crate is big enough for a springer and at a push a border collie, but not a lab.
tess is away from her pups at the mo having her 'time out' period after eating her dinner, and i could hear jack whinging so i get up to let him out for a wee closely followed by toby, i cant see tess anywhere so look at the tv to see if she in the kennel, but i dont remember letting her out as the dogs only got the kitchen and bathroom to go in until kids gone a bed she couldnt have gone far, so i look again in kitchen, and bathroom again at the telly then outside gates are shut so she hasnt got out, begining to think will have to go searching for her thinking to myself 'perhaps i did let her out maybe she jumped the fence after the fox again' so i go back indoors to get shoes and coat, i walk in just in time to see a chocolate nose disappear into the crate, ands theres tess laying in the crate all pleased with herself that she got the crate all to herself. I put a blanket over the top yesturday as jack cries when people come down the stairs of a night/early morning (normally me to let tess out for a wee) and tess obviously likes the crate that way, nice and cosy :D

See she's a sensible girl giving herself "Time Out" from the family :D a bit like us "women" relaxing in a scented bubble bath complete with candles and good book ;)
