Uhm, first thing that comes to mind is why do you want them to look fluffy? They are meant to look silky.

when we go into the show ring, her ears are very silky and the hairs fall close to the ear itself, when i look at the others in the ring there ear hair seems to be very full and the only way i can describe it so you may know what i mean is that it looks like it is full of static, and it seems to make the ears look larger than they are,i have seen this in quite a lot of the show dogs and was just wondering if i was doing something wrong with the ears.
Is yours a pup and are the other dogs adults?

Rather than worrying about how other people present their dogs read the breed standard and use that as your guide. Not everyone in the ring is rightyou know :D

she is 18 months old, and i know not everyone may be right but as this is my first cavalier, i wanted to make sure i was doing her justice, the guy i am normally up against must be doing something correct as out of 4 dogs 3 are champions and the puppy looks to be going the same way.
