I am looking for a white golden retriever female puppy from a calm mum and dad. Can anyone help with my search.

Thanks

Also, you might want to consider health tested as well as calm. For example Hip scored.
Try to make sure youdo as much research as possible and travel as far as necessary to get the right dog.

I presume they mean a very very pale golden, as some of them can look almost white..but you are right, there is no white "golden" retriever
:)

Hi
Here in Denmark we have Goldens, there are more white than golden. Of course we also have the "yellow" ones.

On my puppyclass we have 2, Timon and Pumba. And they are white and very very beuatiful.

Personally I like the "white" ones better, than the "yellow".

Not my breed, but if a breed is called Golden why would you want a white one? Temperament & health is far more important.

Hi,

Some people and breeders prefer cream colour, which is perfectly acceptable and is in our breed standard along with the varying shades of gold however white is not in the breed standard and is faulted.
To find some breeders try ringing The Golden Retriever Club or the Kennel Club who will be able to provide you with a list of breeders or do a search on this site.
Or email me privately and I may be able to put you in touch with some breeders.
Hope this helps,

Briony:-)

Hi

I was only talking aboout the colour. I have a chocolate lab.

I'm not saying anything about their nature, and I'm sure that a golden Golden is as sweet and lovely as a white Golden. I just think the white is beautiful.

And if I was ever given a little Golden, I would love it no matter what colour.

Hi,

The range of correct colour is from cream to dark gold, incorrect would be pure white coat colour of a Samoyed and the red/mahogoney colour of a red setter.

Kind Regards,

Briony :-)

Hi

Okay, maybe they are creamy white, but that is almost white, isn't it?
Timon and Pumba are entering in shows here in Denmark, and one of them has been selected as nr. 4 in "Best in show", and "Best in puppy class" in other shows. So they can't be that wrong, can they?

Hi,

Thats lovely that your Goldies are doing well:-)
Creamy white  is acceptable It depends what each individual person  deems as white and what someone else says is cream.
I personally have mid- Gold here that I show but I also admire the cream or pale gold.To me the colour is the icing on the cake conformation and Temperament will always be first
:-)
Enjoy your Goldies,

Briony:-)
