im a bit naughty I like to have a wee tipple when i get in from work. Recently I thought ive been drinking it a little quick. Last night I openned a bottle of beer had about 95% and went into the kitchen to gets some nibbles. On my return I found Bradley with the bottle neck in his mouth and no beer left. Is this harmfull to him? Also with this sneeky alcohol slurping how do I nip it in the bud before we have quests round for xmas and he slurps out of their glass's.
I know he is partial to Irish coffee because Ive caught him with a white frothy beard.

I would say keep an eye on him but arnie gets a bit of beer now and then, not much really at all but just a tiny bit! i think he should be ok as beer is very low in alcohol
keep an eye on him and if theres any chage then take him to the vets, it was last night so i think its most likely past thu!

Where do you think he has got this from? Ive heard of dogs stealing food but not beer, wine and Irish coffee.
LOL at Mr B and innocent Emma " Where do you think he got this from?" - from watching Boobies and Doodies enjoying stuff out of a bottle abd being a clever dog he thought Ill have some of that :D

Lol But surely he would steal coffee or tea.... now come to mention it I don't drink tea or coffee at home..Hopefully Mr B will have refined tastebuds like doodie and Boobie. Could I use a bottle of beer as a training insentive? Instead of livercake
A blootered boxer.. oh boy! :D

I used to work in a pub when I was a student - summer's day, man comes in with golden retriever, I go to get the dog a bowl of water. Man says 'oh no, he'll have some of my beer' and proceeds to pour half his pint into the ashtray. I was quite shocked, but the dog didn't seem affected by the alcohol at all. Isn't it funny that we don't bother about whether a few pints or glasses of wine do us any harm, but if our dogs have a gulp we have a major panic?

We have to watch Molly with the booze as she will drink it -so no glasses on floor or very low tables - she is only little!. Barney recoils in horror from the smell :p :p

Emma, maybe Bradley and Cam should go out for a pint together some time? Cam is a regular at our local, and we always take a little plastic dish with us because the bar staff give him free tasters. He loves it!

I know a dog whose recall signal is not 'come' or 'here' but "free beer"!
Of course, he doesn't get beer for his recall but it amuses onlookers.

My friend taught Lana to enjoy a little red wine. I love the thought of seeing your dog there with the beer bottle in his mouth :d
Diita and Anton don't drink much alcohol but they love to throw it all over you. When Anton was about 4 months old we were at somebody's house for a fun weekend with Spanish Water Dogs. There I was sat there with numerous dogs and their owners around me when the next minute Anton decided to jump up without warning. There I was like the Phantom of the Opera with red wine all over one side of my hair and face!!
Took Dilita to Discover Dogs last year and we stay in a hotel for a couple of days, she decided to jump up on my friend and knock her drink all over the bed and herself and then dived on my bed with red wine everywhere. I was surprised that we were allowed back this year!!

""Also with this sneeky alcohol slurping how do I nip it in the bud before we have quests round for xmas""
You could try drinking 'Kaliber' or 'Eisberg' <sp> both non-alcoholic. At least this way he won't get nissed and show you up :D :D :D
my jack russell doesnt drink alcohol yet, far too young ! but we still have to keep bottles or glasses away from her because she walks over and slaps them down with her front paw, i swear she does it on purpose !
