Toesy is laid here feeling dead sorry for himself. :(
He's only gone and cut his pad, while out for a walk this afternoon, I didn't even realize he'd done it.
I've had him to the vets as it seemed quite deep. He has to have it stitched :(
I could of left him all night, but didn't want to. So I have to take him in the morning at 8:30am.
He's all bandaged up in a bright green dressing with a plastic bag on top. There have also given me a head collar for him to wear through the night. He hasn't made no attempt to pull the dressing off, so he might not need to wear it.

Poor Toesy! I hope it heals up quickly and that he's not in too much pain. One of ours had a cut stitched on his leg after a death defying leap off the edge of a quarry and he never bothered with it at all and didn't need the collar on, so I agree that Toesy might not need to wear his. Ours milked the sympathy for all it was worth though ;)

Poor lad! :( When Harry had his toe amputated he was very good and never fussed with his bandage, so hopefully Toesy will be the same. Make sure you keep the dressing dry, though.

Oh dear he'll be a sad boy then.
Sam (my old Staffie dog) cut his foot once same age as Tosey and because he got so much sympathy, all you had to say even 14years later was "Oh Sam poorly foot" and he'd limp and look sad :D
Hope hes better soon.

:( Poor wee man :(
Just not a good week for the dogs this week, what with Deisel's lump, Sams Kennel cough, Willis's hips and now Toesy has a sore toesy :(
Give him a big hug from me.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts.
I don't think he's in any pain, He's just finding it difficult with a big thick dressing on. He didn't seem to have a problem putting it on the floor before he had it dressed. But now he walks around with it stuck out behind him, he looks so funny, I just have to laugh :D
He supposed to be going to the North East SBT Champ show on Sunday. Obviously if he can't put his foot down, due to any sort of pain, the we just wont take him. But the vet said once it is stitched it should be ok to take the bandage in a couple of days, what does every one else think. Also are you allowed to show a dog with a dressing on. I think I'd rather keep it on if you can.

i think youd be best waiting until its well healed over before thinking of showing him, ----pointless on going in if he's not 100%--hope he heals soon!

Hi Michelle
I agree with Dizzy about not showing him until he is 100% recovered. It's really disappointing when you have been looking forward to a show and something happens with the dog which makes it unfit to go, but there will always be another show along soon :)

Hi michelle
hope he's okay today. :)
Dont worry about missing the show too much - he's already qualified anyway so theres nothing more to gain if you look at it that way ;)
