I have a 14 week old boxer pup who has had a nasty bladder infection since she was 6 weeks old, when she was put on anti-biotics, she seemed to be getting better, but then we had her urine checked again, and it had 'crystals' in it.
She is still on the anti-biotics and seems to be doing fine, i was wondering if there was any way to get rid of these crystals other than surgery, is there a special diet? (besides that science diet stuff, yuck. byproducts).

You could dtry cranberry juice - there is something in cranberries which eases the bladder, I believe. Also try some live yoghurt - always good for rebalancing the bacteria in the gut.
Hope that helps a bit.....
Yep, cranberry juice stops the bacteria sticking to the bladder wall and also acts as a natural antibiotic. :)

You may want to go for cranberry tablets from a health food shop...or else resort to syringing it down the pup ;-) coz they won't fall for drinking it more than once IMHO :D
