I would go for the 42 inch one Jackie.  You will be able to get up to 3 Elkhounds in, and two really comfortably.  I notice Treena has the 36inch size, and when she has two in there changing places it does balloon a lot more, and makes me wonder if it will eventually lead to tearing of the mesh off the frame.  The difference in weight and space taken up is negligible for the extra comfort.

At the club show I had all 3 of Bryony's dogs parked in it, with mine out, attached to it by bencdhing chains.  Best thing I ever bought.
