I am, taking Dakota but not his coat it's all in a bin bag!!!!!!!!! It's my last chance this yr to make him up, couldn't afford LKA so I think it's gonna be a pratice session for my puppy bitch and pretty much the same for Dakota although his coat is going down a treat with the wild birds outside think they must be using to line their nests for a snug winter!!!!!!

all these naked dogs :D im lucky [touch wood] that caseys not ever had a really bad moult that kept her out the ring ------watch , she'll be naked for crufts
Schip,do you show even when your dog is out of coat?I've only been showing since April, but have only seen it done once in akitas, appreciate your thoughts, sandra.

It depends on the dog and the type of coat they've got, Dakota has a very 'big' coat so he sometimes looks better when he is losing it like now, in full coat he can look heavy and lacking in shape. Schipperkes should be finer on the backend than the front, so if a dog has a lot of coat they can lose that pear shape we are looking for. If they have lost their ruff then I don't show them but some dogs just lose undercoat and keep the guard hairs of their ruff so still look good, bitches it is easier as they aren't mean't to have so much coat but again no ruff no showing, it really is a judgement call.
You are lucky,Sox in particular takes ages to lose her full coat and get the new one in and in between she just looks dreadful.coat is a lighter colour, dull and tufting out all over the place, normally she is a really dark red with a black overlay and she goes very washed out ginger!!!!Sandra.

he he i think my aussie wants to be a Schipperke. has a resonable mane and nothing on the back end (aussie friends no which lad im talking about!!!) Hmmm somehow i dont think he will pass, only other thing in his advantage is no tail, tho i think he might be abit too big

LOL
