Hello,
I was wondering if you could help me. My partner and I recently (end of October) got our gorgeous little cross-breed puppy Wallace. He is absolutely great and we love him to bits (and he is only slightly spoilt!).
Anyway, the problem is at Christmas time, my mum and dad and my brother, sister and their two kids are going away for Christmas.
That is great, but, as a present, they have paid for me and my partner to go (as a surprise) - all booked and paid for. Very nice, I hear you say, but what about wallace?
Does anyone know of any home boarders (NOT kennels) in the Surrey, Berkshire area who would look after him - money isn't the problem, it's finding someone who'll give him the time and love he needs.
Can anyone help me or have any suggestions?
If not, we are perfectly prepared to not go as he means more to us than 10 days in the sun.

Oh dear what a predicament!
Have you any close friends that could take him in for you? It would be a shame to miss out on the holiday but it's far from ideal timing for him :(
Hope you get something sorted.
Hi Lucy
We are in Lightwater so not far from you! Have you tried 'PetPals' which is now operating in our area, not sure if they look after in their home or just in yours but would be worth a try, they have a national website where you can access the email addresses/numbers of the local franchisees. The woman who runs it goes to my agility club and she always seems very nice. Would also be worth looking in your Vets to see if anyone is offering their services for dogsitting. Also 'Dogsitters' and 'Animal Aunts' are national businesses with people in all areas that look after dogs in their own homes. Good luck though as these people are probably booked up for christmas. I may have been able to offer my services but we picked up our new pup last week, and what with the other 2 dogs and 2 small children we are a little bit snowed under
Good Luck, and enjoy the holiday if you go

Sounds the obvious answer but have you asked his breeder to have him for you?

Unfortunately the Breeder is in Glasgow so can't help us out.
I'm going to try some of the above suggestions
Thank you everybody!
