After mating my bitch (a Rottweiller) with a male Rottweiller - from 11th day stopped on the 14th, my German Shepherd was found locked with her on the 15th day. What am I to expect from this situation.

Well unfortunately you may get some Rottie pups and some rottie/GSD crosses.Gillian

Hi and just to add to Satincollie unfortunately you might not be able to tell the difference betwen the crosses and the pure breds, the only way of surely knowing would be to DNA test which will cost money but you cant sell any of the pups as pure bred Rotts until you know for sure, I am sure someone with  more knowledge on this  will be along shortly

You'll need to DNA test the pups to register them...if you register the cross breds as pedigrees you can be sued and banned from registering any more pups

Assuming you are in the UK, the Animal Health Trust will do DNA testing for you.  Cost is £10 per sample (one per pup, plus mum, plus 2 possible Dads) - minimum cost is £50.  They will tell you which, if any, pups are by the planned sire.

Sure you'll agree that this is a fairly small cost for peace of mind. Hope it works out well for you.
