At long last, I am back. My computer died for 2 weeks. We think it had a virus that changed all the settings in the Bios. Oh well, My mate twigeed the problem in the end.  Went to pick it up Wednesday, but have been ill ever since, so not been online very much :(  2 1/2 weeks computerless/too ill, Not good!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the messages Gwen and Fran. Will email you both soon.
Still need clippers for Beano, he is lookiung a bit whiskery round the mouth, but cant find any online. Am I going to have to resort to going to Pet Smart?
I woke up yesterday morning, feeling really ill, and Beano had decided to leave me presents all over my floor!!!!!!!!! eeeeeek.(very unusual of him.)
He is a theaf. He nicks things out the bin, and also goes into the kids rooms and gets the smallest toy he can find and proceeds in chewing it. Aaaaaaagggggghhhhh
Have I missed much while I have been away?????

Hi Lea,  glad to hear from you again.  You are discovering the joys of being owned by a Yankee!  They are almsot all terrible thieves!  Paticularly kitchen roll, loo roll and tissues.  But often undies and socks and small toys too.  I will email you a copy of the Property laws!

Talking about getting clippers, I wouldnt get the pet ones from Argos or Pet Shops, dont last long and not a good finish  - also heat up is you try to do a full clip off.  Dezynadog has a web site, as do Simpsons I think.  I am using the Laube min micro clippers at the moment - they are great, really small and lightweight but as much power and more speed than the Oster A5, and much, much quieter.  I think they are about £120 with a free blade - they use any of the usual clip on blades (I love the new whal range, excellent quality and very cheap compared to most).  I got mine from Bobby Murphy in Scotland, company is called Technogroom if you want to do a web search.
bye
Gwen

Typical Yanks - trying to claim it all for themselves <G>  Actually the Brits (or English) are pretty good at it too - at least Missy is, her speciality is Lego wheels, but she has a penchant for loo roll insides as well - they eventually end up in her bed (which makes it tricky when we're using the crate in the kitchen - have to send the kids in to retreive stuff ;))  Can't help with the whiskers I'm afraid - I like my dogs like my men - kinda rugged :)

At least it is just the insides Fran. could cope with that, but shredded tissue everywhere. Well, it doesnt get a chance to get everywhere, it goes straight down!!!!!!!
I would hate to see what a yankie would look like untrimmed. A customer of mine has one the same as Beano, but no where near as beautiful. She gets him clipped once every 3 months. By the time he needs to be clipped, he is really hairy everywhere. You cant see his face :(
Oh well, Will have to attack him sooooonn!!!!!! LOL

Thanks Gwen, couldnt you have warned me before???????????????
i have been ill with a flu virus. flu virus= runny nose= LOADS of tissues in the bins. Guess what came out the other end of Beano the other day. :( I have even worked out he nicks them out of the tissue boxes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything is going onto a high shelf again!!!!!! LMAO
Oh, and as for the undies. He is partial to my thongs, or James(8) socks. Is he trying to tell us something???????? I just hope somone important doesnt come round as he is running down the stairs with my underwear!!!!!!!!!!
I dont believe this. you could not orchestrate it if you tried. he just came down with some!!!!!!!!! Darling dog!!!!!!!
Unfortunatly at the moment, I cant afford £120. Could do with some for about £50 and upgrade at some point in the future. Too close to Xmas :(
Will do a search for the other sites you have mentioned and see what I can find. I looked at the ones in argos and scoffed, thinking they would only last 2 seconds!!!!!!!
Thanks Gwen, and if you got the property Laws, send them to me, I ned to know!!!!!!!!!!! LMO.

Hello again Lea, on the subject of clippers, I know Gwen does not recommend the pet ones from Argos, but I have some. I also have a set of Osters, and I prefer the cheapies. Kitty, the yankee that I have in partnership with Mike and Gwen, will only tollerate those ones, they are nice and quiet, the Osters are very noisy by comparison. My ones have been well used and completely reliable for over 5 years. Lets face it at that price, once they're bust I'll bin them and get some more.
So if Beano/Peter is getting a bit fuzzy I'd get some of these just to keep on top of the hair. Good luck with the trimming.

Thanks Dawn. Are they the ones that are about £30??? If so, I mayas well get some of them and get some others after xmas if I cant get on with them. He isnt to bad at the moment as he was clipped not long before I got him.
Other thing is. I am used to English clips, not yankee clips!!!!!!! Need to attack him soon so I can learn on the job so to speak!!!!
The scissors are going to have to come out this week on his quiff, It has gfot just slightly tooo long and I think is annoying him.!!!!!!
Thanks again Dawn.
