what do other subscribers think about tea cup poodles being bred in us. surely it cant be good for their health to be so small! Are they available in uk yet . i thought toy were the smallest. also how many colour poodles can you get?

There are at least 8 acceptable colours of poodle - black, white, silver, cream, blue, brown, red and apricot - are detailed in the standard. There may be others as well.

As for the fad for 'teacup' animals, the simple question is "Why?"

In answer to your fisrt question: Not a lot. Of course it isn't good for them, but the sort of person who will breed these won't care about little things like health. They are not breeding to a standard but to a market of gullible owners.

Well said Anwen,  the same sort of idiots have been producing/advertising 'teacup' chihuahuas for years, and heaven knows, chihuahuas are small enough already!
