Topic Dog Boards / General / A very funny programme on tonight!
- By mentalcat [gb] Date 27.11.03 18:38 UTC
Hi guys,
Just thought that I'd post about a programme that is on telly tonight. Its called Daisy,Daisy on channel 4 (I think!)at about 10.40pm. This week its all about the reporter (Daisy Donovan) joining in with the 'Dog showing' world in America. For everyone thats not seen this programme, its a bit like Marmite, you either love it or you hate it-I love it,even if it does make me wonder if the people that Daisy meets really don't 'get' the fact that she has her tongue very firmly in her cheek. Watch it and see what you think
Ali :)
(My husband watched it a few weeks ago and hated it, but all my girly-friends think its very funny!)

Aww damn, I was looking forward to this, but I hate tongue in cheek humour.

I watched her last week I think doing American "style" weddings, you know the sort based on Elvis or something similar, really good.
Looking forward to the dog showing one tonight.

Karen,

Agreed.

Daisy was told to keep her hands off the dogs who were going into the ring.  Did she, of course not, and got a surly comment from an exhibitor in return.  She was lucky all she got was a comment.

I am sure that the people filmed with her knew the show was tongue in cheek.  How could you not with a camera crew pointed at you the entire time and Daisy's very obvious attempts at humour?

I did not see the wedding show, but dog show people are well used to beginners in the ring and can certainly tell someone who's trying from someone who is not.

I thought it was hilarious. I'm not normally that keen on her, but really, those people deserved to have the mickey taken.

And the ear cropping is disgusting. People who do that simply for show don't deserve to be taken seriously....infact, they need a wake up call on whats important in life.
