Hello all,
Everything I have read on Welping says that Labor should begin with 24 hours of Temp dropping. Yesterday about 18 hours ago her temp dropped to 98.3 and she was showing signs of Labor: panting, digging, cleaning etc. Her temp is staying strong around 98.3-98.5. But she has not started pushing yet. How acurate is the 24 hour period? And since she is showing signs of Labor how long should I let her go without pushing before calling the vet? I am an hour from the nearest vet and today is a Holiday so everyone is on call. I do not want to wait to the 24th hour to call if nothing happens. I don't want to take any chances.

Thank you for any advise you can give me.
