hi to all is there a rott training class local to derbyshire, we no where some are but to far away for evening travel, thinking of starting one up our self, is any one elce interested or maybe classers for rotts, large breeds etc linda oberon rotts

If you get in touch with the Kennel Club they will send you a list of approved trainers in your area. You can also ask at your Vets

The Kennel club doesn't actually 'vet' trainers - it simply keeps a register of all those who wish to be registered. Strictly speaking (IIRC) the APDT is the only association which has guidelines for training practises (but they aren't always adhered to :( )

Whereabouts in Derby are you? There are a lot of Rottweiler people in that area who attend/run training classes so I could give you their details. Eastern Counties Rottweiler club hold a training class once a month which is more near to Notts. They should have a website so you could check with them. Also the Midland Rottweiler Club should have details of clubs in derby since the Secretary comes from Derby herself. The Kennel Club only hold details of registered clubs I think and a lot of training clubs are unregistered.
