HI

My bitch puppy went to her new home on friday - The people actually came to buy the dog puppy but as he wouldnt go near them and cried when i left the room they decided on the bitch who was ultra friendly... From knowing the bitch puppy for 8 weeks i found her rather boisterous and aggressive in play and the boy an absolute dream and very cuddly and loving.

Now the girl has gone I'm left with a boy who wont stop crying when i take him in the car - he cries and shakes when a stranger holds him - I'm taking him all over the place to get him used to lots of different things.

I'm doing my best to get him socialised - is there anything else i can do

Hello

yes a shihtzu... he is such a lil baby ;-)

I've just had a call from a friend who is friends with someone else who is interested... the people have a disabled daughter and want a little pup for her and she sounds perfect... have a bit more talking to do to make sure they all match up but with him needing love and cuddles and not being too hyper it seems that this might be the perfect match for both of them... think i might cry when this one goes - you know when you get really attached to one!!!!!

He's my lil man at the minute - what a wimp - when i trim the hair from his pads or trim his nails he wimpers at every snip!

Hi Filbert,
I know that you do your best with socialising your pups having read previous posts, at 7 weeks pups make a bond with a person stronger than at any other time, so he can only be expected to be attached so strongly to you, this is proof that you have done everything correctly for him. Once he finds the 'right person' to take over your role he will be absolutely fine.
