i have a terrier who is prone to skin problem, he scratches ALL the time, he has been fleed he is bathed is malsab, and is fed natural, any suggestions people??

How long has he been on a 'natural' diet? These things can take time to work through - alternatively it could be something environmental - carpet freshner etc.......

Your terrier may have dry skin. You can try adding evening primrose oil to his meal.

I do not know what you mean by "natural" feed, but animals can be allergic to certain foods and it does not matter if they came out of can or fresh from the butcher.

Your dog could also be allergic to any one of literally hundreds of different things - like fabric softener you use on the duvet/sheets or his bed, or wool (in carpet) ..

If you try everything and the itching does not stop I would suggest allergy testing.

thanks for the help, he has been on naturediet for a while now, the scratching was worse on commercial food, its a little bit better, but still not right!
he is fed commercial dog treats, so ill try changing them, he might be allergic to something in them.

he does go swimming in the river alot, he might of picked up parasitesin their.

I'm with Stacey on this one... ask the vet about allergy testing. A constant itch can send a dog mad over time and he may end up snapping at someon just because he can never relax properly. :(

Our dog constantly itched and it turned out to be the rawhide chews,both coloured and natural.We found out when she ran out of supplies for a week or two!
