Hello, I'm a newbee here, Been reading all I can for the past 2 weeks now on welping as this is my first litter. My girl is 60-63 days along. She has been showing signs for the past week of getting ready. I contacted my vet end of last week about trying to get a try due date. My vet advised me "all they could do was a csection" That alarmed me. They want me to rush her right in when she wasn't showing signs of distress for a section. That didn't sound right to me, anyone else? On the advice of a friend and breeder, I contacted there vet. This Vet reassured me that without signs of distress all is well. My question is the pups havent moved much in the past couple hours (a roll here and there). They have been like a earthquake in her belly the last 4 or 5 days. Is little movement a bad sign? I haven't read of it being but wanted to make sure. She is going into the vet for an ultrasound in 3 days if she hasn't had them yet.
Your knowledge would be greatly apreciated

hi there .
when my girl was in pup i didnt see the pups move at all the week before they were due . i think it was because she was carrying 11 good sized pups that there was not much room for them to move around i hope everything goes ok it is a very tense time for everyone

Thanks for the message, I have as much anxiety as my girl does. We don't leave each others side. I don't know how many she will have but I do know that she came from a litter of 12 and the breed is known for having large litters. She has no abnooral colored discharge so I was thinking it was alright.
Thanks

Daisy's pups slowed down movement about 12 hours before whelping :)

Hello Zoo keeper,
I read your story with Daisy. Good to hear that all went well. She did have a big litter. Hope all is still well with them.
I hope my girl Cleo is almost there. It kills me to see her so misserable. She has to be near me at all times and I am ready for a break. It has been over a week like this with her. Could this be the beginning of much more to come.....LOL
Thanks
