I should have bought or arranged something by now,but I have no idea on what to get/send my brother and his wife in Canada. So ideas anyone? Postage is always a stopping point when I see things in the shops because they would cost 4x the outlay in postage alone:(
They have hobbies, snowboarding, theatre, eating out but sending dollars doesn't seem right either.I'm really stuck on this one.

Hi Porkie
We were stuck for a pressie for brother in law's birthday, and ended up getting him an Acre of the Moon. We weren't sure how this would go down, as its a bit silly, but he loved it. What you get is a map showing where on the moon the acre is, plus deeds for the mineral rights etc! It would be really cheap to post! You can get them from either memorisethis or Amazon Websites.
Just an idea :D

What a great idea! Darryl (my brother) is always talking about the acreage he will one day own!
Everyone in Canada seem to buy more land as they get older, whereas we downsize generally here in retirement.
Now he can have his acreage early, all he needs next is the rocket!
Thanks,
keep these ideas coming....
Hi, if you go onto the shopping sites that are on the net in Canada itself, you should get all kinds of shops & it`ll get sent from there so you`ll save on postage as it`ll be local & it`ll be quicker as well :)

How about a subscription to a Canadian magazine that its in with their hobbies

How about an online gift certificate to whatever online store you think they may be interested in? That way, you are not sending money (eliminating the exchange factor), and you know they will have access to the store. Also, you don't have to only pick stores here in Canada. They could go shopping for a Didgeridoo straight from Australia.
Just a thought
