Hi everyone,

My 11 month G Schnauzer who has been completely clean for months has recently started to pee in the house. He has only done it twice & never asks to go out, can be just running round the house then stops and pees! Seems to be when he is excited or up to mischief! Any ideas people?

Thanks.

Richard.

Dogs do tend to do that when they are excited or scared. Stop him by making a loud noise to distract, and run to the door, making shure he follows. If he goes outside, praize.

Has there been a change of circumstance in your household recently? Perhaps your routine has changed in some way. If you go out and leave him for a little while, perhaps he feels he should be looking after the house but doesnt know how. Ignore him when he pees and praise him when he does it outside. If you tell him off he will keep on doing it as it is still a form of attention

It would also be a good idea to take him to the vet to get a urinary tract infection ruled out.......
