I have a 7 month old Beagle. She won't or drink and has developed a cough. We took her to the Vet and they gave her Saleen and medication. They said she has a virus. My wife and I are very nervous because she is so small and still won't drink. We have been forcing her to drink with an eye dropper. It has only been a day since she started taking her medication, but still we are very uneasy. Is there anything else we can do. PLEASE HELP!!!!

If she won't drink phone the vet and they should admit the pup and put it on a drip, it is important that the pup gets fluid, food does not matter but fluid does. Will she drink water and milk mix or nothing at all. Really think if you can't get the pup to take fluid you should contact the vet.

As corso girl said, your other thread said it was 7 weeks old. Please clarify the dogs age!! A few people have already spent time answering your your question, was that time wasted?, and please don't double post like this, if you made a mistake with the dogs age you should have explained on your original thread. More people will be wasting time answering your other post. :(

7 weeks or 7 months it needs help and quick if it is not taking liquid.

I absolutely agree Jackie :) , though it helps to know the dogs age so other factors can be either disregarded, or taken into consideration and advice given.

i agree with you all regardless of age, although more serious if 7 weeks it needs to got to a vets asap why is this person not answering us, when we have all took time to help.

Agree, how can someone place two posts asking for help and then ignore the help and advice they are given. Is it any wonder some of us are a bit short with people, do they think we are sitting here waiting to be made fools of.
