Hello. My bitch Gia has a crusty nose. I thought it was maybe dried food but Athos also get a dirty nose when he eats but his nose is ok. Also if it was dried food wouldn't it fall out eventually - the food not the nose! I put some glicerine sometimes and it looks better but maybe it's someting bad? I called the vet and was told not to worry about it, but...I am a bit worried. Do you know what could it be?
Thank you.

Moose one of my Labs has a crusty nose which started from eating the white hyde chews.

It is nothing to worry about and when it gets bad I put E45 cream in it.

Sorry, I had a wee dog some years ago that had a crusty nose all the time. It turned out to be a shoot off from distemper (was a rescue dog). I'm sure that's not the case here but I think a trip to the vet is needed to sort it out. Don't let the vet fob you off and if you're not happy go to another vet. It's a serious condition.

OMG, what shoot off distemper means(sorry)?
I'll take her to the vet next week.
Many thanks Copper girl, and Lucy too.
