Have to tell you..........went to the pub for quiz night and took the dog with us...(his best mate is a springer owned by the landlady), so we're trying to be really clever  and the dogs are bundling.....next thing the wholepub erupts with laughter, there's my lil pup sat on a bar stool with his paw on the table and his tongue in someones pint glass!
Urrrrrgggghhh for the pint owner...... funny for all else! ................that's my boy ;)

It's a common problem with pups. I used to take Moss to the pub once a week and he loved it. The only problem was that he got on so well with the regulars that they started buying him drinks!! :D

We have to watch Honey, she tries to knock over any glasses with red wine in! Not partial to white though - she must have a more mature palate than me!! :D

It must be nice to live somewhere that accepts dogs into places like pubs. My Kirra is as good as gold most of the time and is a little sociable puppy, but I have to leave her at home when I go out. Count yourselves fortunate.

If a pub does not accept my dog it rarely gets my custom unless I am going out "dressed up" :D

"Dressed up!" What's that? Oh, you mean a clean pair of jeans! :D
- By Wishfairy [gb] Date 20.11.03 20:13 UTC
I count 'dressed up' as not having dog slobber on it... thinking back it used to be baby sick. I wonder when that changed - lol ;)
- By LJS Date 21.11.03 08:05 UTC
Oh don't remind me as I am covered all the time in baby puke and dog slobber !! :D :D

I have forgotten what it is like to be clean !! :( :D

We went to our local last night and our friends were there with their jack russell our whippet pup knows their pup really well and their very quiet together, but then the hunting boys came in with their two jack russells and it was absolute bedlam their seemed to be whippets and jack russells every where but it was very funny to watch and no problem as it was only dog owners there.

I take my bullmastiff puppy to the pub on fridays, the landlord and landlady have a puppy Jack russel, the regulars in the pub, think its great to see these two playing together, there is only 2 weeks age difference, and i must say Macy is a bit to fond of a drop of Stella if she gets the chance. The sad thing is new owners are moving in next week...hope they like dogs!!! As for my other two, if hubby gets out the red wine, he has to hide the bottle and keep a tight hold of the glass.:)

Hi
My German Shepherd (now at the bridge) was a regular on a Friday night at our pub with my husband. She was quite a celebrity there. Her tipple was Guinness. Trouble was the bar staff started to save the slops for her and she had virtually a couple of pints waiting for her when she got there! Had to knock that on the head - 1 ashtray (clean) full was her weekly allowance!
She loved her Guinness!! Rock on Blue

My Elkies are the only dogs that go in our local pub. They dont have there own any more and love having the girls there. Started taking the pups there at 5 weeks as no other dogs go in it was great for socialising them. Trouble is i cant get passed the door with out the girls turning in.
My 5 month old pup also loves red wine.
