I have a staffy bitch that is just 10 months old and I am planning on breeding her when she comes into season next. I bought her when she was 6 months old and I was under the impression that I could get her KC registered when her old owners got back from their holiday. When they retured I phoned them and asked for her parents names and registration number, but they told me that only her father is KC registered and they are not going to give me his name because their was no point as I needed both parents KC registered, but when my friend phoned them she was told that my dog was a staffy/jack russel, but one of my friends mum breads staffy's and she told me that I have got a pedigree Staffy Bull Terrior and it has also been varified by the vet. So could anyone help me by letting me know how or if I could KC register my dog or if I was to breed her with a male Staffy that is KC registered could I register the pups.

Hi Danni...did you post this post previously? Maybe register so you can repond to advise...? I don't think you can KC register a litter of pups if both dam and sire are not KC reg'ed themselves...... others should be along soon to verify. :)

In short if you haven't got the papers to prove otherwise you've got a mongral. It could be that she's purebred but if her parent isn't a pedigree kc reg bitch then it doesn't matter what she looks like.

Another point is that only the breeder of the pup can register the pup with the kc so having the details wouldn't help you anyway :(

My final point is... SHE'S TOO YOUNG! Even if she was a kc reg ped staff you wouldn't be doing the right thing by mating such a young bitch :(

I hate to harp on but it is irresponsable people mating staffs for profit that is weakening this great breed and giving it a bad name as being owned by idiots

She couldn't possibly be a show winner as she's not yet registered so why do you want to put her through this life risking process, if not to make a few £££'s? Just look in your local paper and see how many others are doing the same thing :(

Please, please don't breed from her.

I agree with Wishfairy on this. If you mean to breed her at say 14/15 months her next season she is too young, still a baby don't do it. If she's not KC registered don't do it.

DON'T DO IT. PLEASE.
