Hi everyone, my friend is looking in to getting her next dog, shes only ever had cavaliers and shih tzus and has approached me and asked me the average costs of the following breeds.
Hairless Chinese Crested
Japanese Chin
Afghan hound
Boston Terrier
These are the final four she has chosen and wants to no the costs. Plus she has heard chinese crested males are alot cheaper than females, is this true?

Hello
Chinese crested hairless (from a reputable breeder) i belive are between £300 -£400, Japanese Chin £450-£500. I dont ask about the price of a puppy thats not my main concern, i look at the care and attention that the puppy has recieved from the breeder, it tells me a lot ;)
Not sure on the other breeds (as the two above Jane did consider having over a year ago) when we were looking for another puppy, but had another bulldog instead :D

An afghan will cost about £500. Then there is about £200 for a grooming table(breaks your back to do it on the floor), £350 for a stand hairdryer( takes 4 hours with a hand dryer), £100 a year for shampoos(weekly bath needed), £20 a week for food. An afghan is not a dog to have on a whim...they are lovely, but hard work and time consuming. They also need considerably more exercise than the others on the list.
