Hello everyone. I hope I am not boring you, but I would like to talk about Athos again.
We took him to the vet Friday and she said he is still doing well and holding his weight on(about 49kg).
The best news is there was no fluid in his chest and the vet said that's the big problem with chylothorax, when the chest keeps filling up. The vet said she never saw a dog last so long after falling ill with this disease. Now I understand why a lot of nurses passing by us in the waiting area kept asking "Is this Athos??" with a very surprise expression, they expected him to be dead by now! But he is a fighter!!! Although the vet said the prognosis for him is "guarded" I am a bit more relaxed now and enjoying Athos without thinking he'll be dead tomorrow or very soon...

I'm glad things are going ok for you just now and that Athos is doing well; you must be enjoying your time with him so much now that you are more relaxed about it. Plus, Athos will sense you are all much less stressed, so he will be happier too :)

Give him an extra big kiss and cuddle for being such a fighter :)

Yes, I feel pretty good and not too guilty(although I still have some dark moments of "what if...") and Athos can definetly pick up the good "vibe", even his breathing seems more relaxed.
