Hi All, I am sad :( to post this as it really has upset me, i have just got a phone call from my friend regarding someone we both know (her better than I) that has picked up a 8 week old Cocker at the weekend and is finding it hard to settle him in. WELL, the boyf is decorating currently and if the puppy comes anywhere near him he shouts at it, this poor little pup won't know if it's coming or going, it needs stability and love not shouting at.......he also threatended to send it back as it was a 'nuisance'................. obviously no though whent into this purchase and i am really p'ed off about it! ....... i only hope its a 'glitch' in their puppy parenting!
Had to vent!

Aw that's a shame, people think at 1st a puppy is cute then after a few days it is a nuisance.
I do hope it's just a glitch. When i shout at mine it loves it, goes bananas! Many incidents of trying to tell my dog off have gone horribly wrong through me laughing. :)

Hope you don't hear no more......Sarah

Oh dear, that's awfully sad and really doesn't bode well for the future :(

I predict that this pup will end up in a rescue somewhere, scared, maybe even aggressive due to fear. If she cares about the pup at all, either she leaves the boyfriend and takes the pup (or chucks him out) or takes the pup straight back to the breeder where it might at least have another chance.

This is a case where the pup would be better off in a large cage, it could be in the room and have company but not get in the way. What a strange time to decorate anyway, do they not realise that the pup will undo the efforts as soon as possible. Much better to wait till the pup is grown and then do the decorating to cover up the best the pup could do.

OOPS not the best time to decorate when a new pup has just joined your household.

If he's so intolerant now whats he going to be like when the "novelty" of puppyhood has worn off ?
Poor little thing
