Does any body know what Osman Sameja's (otherwise known as Ozmillion) email address is because he knows an awful lot about Yorkshire terrier's and just wondered if he could help me.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Sorry know the kennel but not the e-mail address. Have you tried a search. What is a World Champion or rather how did the dog/owner become crowned thus.

Have to say when I've met him at shows he is so polite and not stuck up like other people. I've seen him when I've been in Spain before now and presume that he's recognised me from England and he's always let onto me, although we don't know each other and he's the one that's let onto me first.
Good luck in getting the advice that you require.
Yes, Dianne, thats my opinion of him as well:) I ended up chatting to him for quite a while when he was over here last yr & he really cheered me up no end, then he watched me show my dogs & we had another chat :D So down to earth & helpful.
So missus how did you go in sunny Spain then????? Been looking for an update this wk but suppose you`re shattered :D
Christine, Spain.

The male that I took in got Best Dog!!! Antonio won with his bitch and then my friend Lynn took her in for the run off with Antonio and got Best of breed with her. Antonio then won the group and 4th Best in Show. We were lucky enough to see the group but had to leave before best in show. We are sure that the person who took us to the airport was a bit p****d! He lived in Murcia but couldn't find the airport, with less than an hour to go! aaaggghhh, but luckily we got there on time:d
Well back in Alicante in less than 4 weeks and I can't wait.
So you all had a great time, thats smashing well done! :) I think getting lost is a fav pastime of people over here I know we are always doing it :) but even we know the way to the airport!
Did you get a chance to look around, did you see any Labs, was there a lot of dogs & what did you think of it?

Hi Jackie, might be wrong & often am :D but I think the dog that wins best in show at the World show receives the title of World Champion. FCI has the details & also the countries hosting the world show.

Oh! did wonder, a bit like the media calling the BIS at Crufts the Supreme Champion.
Interesting really, it means that the World Champion need not be a champion in it's own country then, like the Crufts Supreme Champion need not be a champion either.

when we won best in show at wkc this year, osmand got reserve------he was lovley-so nice about our win, and supportive, :D its the first time ive had anything to do with him, but found him very genuine.
Yes it`s a bit like that Jackie, except it goes on the dogs registered pedigree as World Champion. Another difference under FCI rules, once a dog is made up to champion it can only go ever go into champion class & can no longer compete for the CC, it competes with the CC winner for the CACIB then for best in group.but it must be a champion in the country of where the show is held to be able to enter into champion class inthat country otherwise it starts off in open & competes against all others till it wins thru.

Thanks, I knew about the Champion Classes but not that by winning one show your dog could be given the title of World Champion even if it wasn't one so to speak. Does that apply in Eire too, that a dog who is an irish champion has to go into the champion class and no other?
Not too sure what rules Eire comes under Jackie. If they are under FCI then yes, once a dog is a champion in that country it can only go in champion class in that country for the award of the CACIB or RC CACIB for 1st & 2nd(unless it`s withheld of course) & to go thru for the group after beating oppisite sex. Now if say I want to make my girl a champ in Portugal for example, then I have to start off in open class all over again, then get the 4 CC in Portugal by 3 different judges & one of those CC must be awarded in the capital, once a yr or the designated region, once a yr or instead of that CC, a CC from the breed club show again once ayr.
Now if your dog takes 3 CACIB`s or it might be 4 with 1 allowed from the same country, from 3 different countries then you have an International Champion & that gets written on its pedigree
As for the world show it`s like all other shows, crufts included, the dogs eventually meet up with the best of the other classes & has to beat them to get the award to go thru to best in show.
