Knew that would get your attention! :D

And before you all start, YES I KNOW THERE IS NO SUCH THING ;-)

So, who and what is going to win this year?

Do you think that it will be a UK owned dog or a dog visiting from oversea's?

You have a choice of 20,860 dogs.

Hope its not a Labrador thats all, which ever one it is will have the designer dog people looking for an assesory, but good topic are we taking bets
- By lisa [gb] Date 20.02.02 10:59 UTC
Hope it's an afghan as I may be able to palm my grotbags off on some unsuspecting, gullible fool ;)

Right my money is on a dog winning :)
I fancy something from the terrier group and thats as far as I'll commit

Well one things for sure it wont be one of my dogs. LOL. There again it wont be a GSD full stop. I would like to see a sporting or working breed win it.
- By Schip Date 20.02.02 14:37 UTC
Am sure it WON'T be a Schipperke either lol don't seem to be able to get past those big flashy breeds in the group lol.
- By Paula [gb] Date 20.02.02 16:37 UTC
It won't be a Goldie either - it's been years and years since one did, before I was born (and that was a very long time ago! :D)

With the " to dock or not to dock" issue it would be interesting if a visiting dog from a tradionally docked breed were to win....with a tail!! Shame though that the dogs are not also judged on good temperament as well as good looks! I'm definately going on Thursday (Danes) I'm hoping to go on Friday (Greyhounds) and I'd really like to get there for Sunday (Cockers) but who's going to win...if only I knew, I'd be off to William Hills with my housekeeping:D

Well I havent been keeping up to date on this years top winning dogs although from experience it isnt usually the ones we all get to know that end up winning Crufts! Maybe a dog on the Pet Passport scheme may win, that'd put a spanner in the works!
- By Jackie H [gb] Date 20.02.02 16:37 UTC
Well temperment 'should' be judged along with everything else, conformation, temperment, breed type, & movement. Bad temperment or ill health being the only things that may cause a judge to ask you remove your dog from the ring. Who will win? No idea, but hope it's not my breed, unfortunatley winning Crufts does the winners breed no favours at all. No other championship show seems to cause this problem, I supose it's all the publicity. JH

I would lay bets my breed will not win.
But as poster before said I do not think it do"s the breed any favours.
On saying that if we were in with a chance may feel different.
- By dianep [gb] Date 20.02.02 18:29 UTC
Well Leigh at least we know what breeds won't, although of course a certain breed did qualify in Europe and because of their breed they couldn't be entered.

Woops, i'd better calm down now before I say too much!!
- By heelerkay [gb] Date 21.02.02 10:04 UTC
Sorry about that mine are Lancashire Heelers.
- By Leigh [us] Date 21.02.02 10:08 UTC
Never mind Diane, we will take our dogs to Europe. :-) So who's going to win Crufts?
- By Naomi [gb] Date 21.02.02 11:47 UTC
I think that it should be that Giant shnauzer (or however you spell it) Zamoranos Picasso, that dog is lovely.

Just a guess, reckon this year it will be something fairly small and flashy, so that rules out the Wolfhounds(thank goodness)
- By dizzy [gb] Date 21.02.02 23:35 UTC
naomi, he is fabulous and sound as a bell-but he plays his handler up a touch, wont get away with it at crufts-shame cos hes stunning, never know he might have his sensible head on for the day
- By Irene [gb] Date 23.02.02 12:32 UTC
Who will win Crufts, there are a lot of good dogs that have done well this past year, one I know that will definately NOT WIN is mine lol. As you say one from abroad just might win, now that would upset some of the "big winners" lol.
- By Freeway [gb] Date 23.02.02 14:50 UTC
I think the Peke should win 'Yakee .........' (sorry can't remember which one it is).
- By Pam Ayling [gb] Date 24.02.02 01:12 UTC
Dangerous Liason ?
- By westie lover [gb] Date 24.02.02 07:02 UTC
My money's on the Peke. However I sincerely hope whoever does win it doesn't try to bite the judge. :-)
