Having been very VERY careful leaving shoes about, she has just chewed a pair i had bought to replace another same pair(Nice shoes).

Stupid of me to leave them on top of the fridge i know!!
Sarah(now reduced to one pair of 'going out' shoes and one scruffy pair of trainers).

Oh dear - been there - done that - got the chewed shoes to prove it!!!
Our old lab would STILL go for new leather shoes if given the chance - a chew out of the back of the shoe, and maybe the heel as well... it is SO frustrating - we have to remember to put all new shoes away in cupboards - it must be the smell of the new leather or something - and she has never had the rawhide chews or anything like that :(
In one way it is quite funny (if they aren't my shoes ;) ) - you know as soon as you come in that she's done it - she stands by the utility room, head down, tail between legs - its a "put me in the Sin Bin - I've been a baad girl!!!" look. :D THEN we have to go & find out what she's done!
A labrador with a conscience!

Willis loves chewing, but he has recently had to give way to Phoebe for sheer inventiveness...in the last week she has eaten:
The fish food box
The fish food
A "Bratz" dolly that now needs a disabled sticker for her "Bratz car" (one leg and half an arm gone)
A plastic chicken (reduced to a chicken breast portion)
Several "Jenga" pieces
A wall
Some wallpaper
A piece of train track

Shoes

Toilet rolls(Thinks it's the andrex puppy)
laminated floor

Numerous Barbie dolls(what is it with dogs and barbie?)
Any tub of butter/marg left out is a gonner.
Nah sorry can't outdo the 'Jenga' pieces roflmao

As a female who just
ADORES shoes you can use this to your advantage - ( well I certainly would anyway) . :D
You can talk your other half into letting you buy LOADS of new shoes - just in case the shoe eater gets to another pair :D

I am even more upset now, i presumed that she did it because she missed me and was chomping my shoes for the scent.
Didn't realise she was attracted to the leather. :(
