This is very sad and thought I would share it.

Danes I feel so sorry for the dog. It looks as though they messed her house and to teach the dog a lesson she left the poor furbaby in the kennel to die. Don't care how sick someone may be that is very uncalled for. :( Don't no how she could sit by day by day and eat and watch them starve to death. I hope she gets a severe punishment...one weighed only 68 pounds...I hope they do live :( Just so sad makes me

That is absolutely disgusting. The dogs are no more than skeletons. WHY have a dog like a Dane (or ANY dog!) if you can't afford/aren't prepared to feed it??

That's just disgusting. How can people do that? :(

I think tattooing the crime across the forehead of the criminal is a very good idea! in a case like this at least they would never own another animal for the rest of their lives! I can't believe these lovely dogs have lasted this long

Lock her up and dont feed her.

This woman can not be called HUMAN. I can't think of a word to call her. Hope this dog can survive and find a special owner. What a very sad world we live in. Susan

"well....apparently she didnt live there. the woman from the rescue told my husband that it seems the owner lived with her boyfriend. she said it was completely impossible for a human being to live in those conditions.
whats really amazing is these dogs attitudes after what theyve been through. my husband said they were so friendly with him and the workers. he also said that the pictures do absolutely no justice to how bad they actually looked. he said it was like putting a sheet on bones. the male dog couldnt even walk at first, or eat. they couldnt even get the iv in him and the workers said there was no way he could have survived another 2 or 3 days. their feet were bandaged and braced bc the pads of their feet were eaten away to the bone (aparently from being in feces and urine constantly)."

I should say they are expected to survive. And the woman has been bailed on $500, Cheap for all that cruelty.

Mygirl, Please keep us updated on them I would sure like to no how they do. Poor little souls they never did anything wrong except end up with the wrong people :( They really do deserve a real good home, hopefully if they make it someone will adopt them together that would be nice :)

Dollface i can't find anything else, like every news it soon slips from the front page.
The adult dog (the more emaciated one) is called Merlin and his sister is the other dane(1 paper says Princess and 1 says Nimue) she is wait for it..................10 months old!
Who sold her this pup i don't know!.
They are at Orange County Animal Services and are doing fine, and there is a long waiting list to adopt them, so at least they'll have a chance at life again

Ohh that's awful I couldn't even bring myself to finish looking at the pictures, the first two or three were enough . How can anyone allow a poor defenceless animal to suffer like this? Some people are just beyond my comprehension She is a disgrace to the term 'human'

I have never seen anything so sickening in my entire life. I had to brace myself before each picture and it still shocked me to the core every time. I will never understand how anyone can treat an innocent creature in such an awful way. I can't even begin to describe the emotions I'm going through right now
