hi, i was reading someone -elses posts and saw that they used a gentle leader and said that they had found them very good. So ,out i went and bought one! and what good advice it was.I am lucky in that i do not have to do much lead walking, but when i do have to i did find my newf does tend to pull a bit.It makes walking her so much easier , it feels like i only have one stone at the end of the lead instead of TEN !!( This is the easy option,) training with treats and toys is the best if you want your dog walking to heel, but you must put the time in to train. mand x x

There are many ways i have tried with dogs and one of them has worked.

1) is to turn direction quickly without a command and pul the dog into heel, they will soon learn to walk by you and watch you every move.

2) is to stop/walk backward and tell the dog to heel and then walk on again. do this everytime he pulls.

3) go out and buy a halti/gentle leader and use this on him, make sure it is the right size etc or it will not work.
