Has anyone had a dog portrait done from a photo that you could recomend.
Preferably coloured, not just in pencil.
I'm wanting to get one done for a wedding present.
It would be of two pet Border Collies.
Any Idea what an average price would be.

Hope you can find her card Geoff.
Thanks all.

Look
here for details. He's based in Hampshire, but if you post him your favourite photo, he'll do a smashing portrait (and send you a proof photo first to see if you approve!)
:)

Hmm ..I have just had to email him ..sent a cheque about 2 weeks ago for a Mal print he advertised but I haven't heard back from him at all :(
have sent you some links by email ( too many to post here)

Michelle
there was a fantastic lady at the North West show the other week . Her pictures were brilliant and you could actually watch her as she drew one.
Her name is Chris Barrow and I have a card fo her somewhere - will dig it out for you . :)

I hope this is acceptable to post a link - if not sorry.
Nice lady, who does portraits in her spare time. Nothing is ever too much trouble.

This fella lives local to me so I've seen a few of his dog portraits and they are fantastic :D
He's working on one for a friend of mine that is his dog at 3 stages of her life - puppy, working field dog and oap. I'm not sure what he's charging but it's on a streatched canvas and includes the frame - probably be much cheaper to post etc if you could get it framed at you end.
Good luck finding the right man for the job :)
