Can I cut vet bed? Sorry for sounding so dim but I'm getting my first puppy next Saturday and Breeder recommended Vet Bed inside a crate. I'd never heard of it before, anyhow I've found a place on net that seems a reasonable price in comparison to that of my local pet stores! But the pieces are huge I think they are 60x40 or similar! Way too big for what I want, If I cut it does it fray or lose any of it's benefits? Thanks

I cut mine when I buy it.

Hello Craig.
You can cut it to any size you require and it wont fray.
It shrinks a bit after the first wash particularly so bear this in mind when cutting your sizes.
I wash mine on a 50 0c and it seems to come out the same size as it went in the washer LOL.

Hi Lesley, I think we must have got ours from the same place.
I needed a couple for my retreiver and for our Dane puppies crate, which is huge
Anyway, I didn't cut it the first time I washed it, and I don't know how many calories I burned off trying to get the bloody thing into the washing machine, so next time I cut it in half, and I did wonder whether or not I would waste it, but it's never frayed, and they wash up brill.

Hi Sharon, I bought two lengths of the Vet Bed and when my husband came home he thought I was opening Kennels as there are two big rolls of it for this itsy bitsy teeny weeny puppy which I pick up next Saturday. I know he'll grow but I think I may have gone over the top on this one! Should last him for a few years anyway!

Hi Crailes, best way to cut it is to fold to size required, with the fleece facing in, green back to you, and simply slit along crease with a Stanley Knife. Cuts realy easily this way, but can frustrate you to death if you try and cut it with scissors.
bye
