We are a married couple of 27 years, living in a small village in Wiltshire, surrounded by farmland and we have a large garden. We would like the opportunity to offer a loving home to a Bedlington Puppy. We lost our cross breed bitch 2 years ago after 19 years of happy times. I (husband) had a Bedlington as a young boy and have always wished for another. We realise that the breed is very rare and are willing to travel wherever is required. We would like a bitch if possible as this is what we are used to.
We are not interested in showing, nor breeding. All we would like is a family pet. If you wish for references or any other information then please ask. If you can help with our search then please call. Our telephone number is 01380 850346.

Regards

Mark & Bernadine

Hi Mark & Bernadine

Have a look at National Bedlington Terrier Club for a whole list of Breeders throughout the UK.

I got my bedlington dog puppy from adtrader.co.uk.
He's 6 mth old now, and we love him to bits.

Hi,
If you want to avoid health problems the best place to start looking is the National Bedlington Terrier website. Remember to ask about DNA testing for Copper Toxicosis, both parents should have been screened. Reputable breeders are trying to breed it out by only using tested stock. The majority of show dogs are pets too and temperament is really important to good breeders. :)

Dill ~ also a Bedlington Terrier owner, but wouldn't touch AD-TRADER with a really long barge pole. Not in this life - not EVER

Fully agree with you there, adtrader or others like it.
I've got 2 lovely bedlington girls, both bought from a reputable breeder.
Lovely dogs with brilliant temprament.

Life is so much better when you share it with a bedlington terrier :-)

regards,
Linda

While I can understand where you're coming from, I can happily state that my bedlington is probably as clever, healthy and of good temperament as yours:-)
Just because I got him from adtrader doesn't necessarily mean that the breeder in question wasn't responsible. Equally there are breeders who advertise through so called 'reputable' means, who are not what they seem.
I think the rule of thumb is to be cautious, and check stuff like dna testing, wherever the source.
