Hi Guest, why don't you register, and then you can ask as many questions as you like. Why the urgency? Surely, the most important thing before choosing a puppy is to look at various lines and breeders, decide which you like best, then take it from there. It's a bit much I think to expect a nice puppy in as little even as 6weeks, far less 1week. Sorry if that isn't what you wanted to hear, just my opinion.

Hi there; nice to know that you are interested in a weimaraner. Most reputable breeders have waiting lists for their puppies and not many will have litters at this time of year because no one like their puppies to go for Xmas presents; too risky. Discover Dogs is on at Earls Court 22/23 November why not go along there and have a chat with experienced owners who can tell you what to look for. The best place to find out about reputable breeders is the Weimaraner Club of Great Britain or The Weimaraner Association; they will have puppy lists and the members have to abide by a strict code of ethics - not breed a bitch before she is 2 or after 7, not allow a bitch to have more than 3 litters in her lifetime; encourage breeders to have breeding stock hip scored in order to reduce the possibility of puppies developing hip dyspasia later on. The breed average is 13 and a good breeder will have had both the sire and dam scored.

Have you decided whether you want a short coat or a longcoat, male or female, docked or undocked?

Hopefully you will have done your research on the breed and realise it is an extremely strong (mentally and physically) breed that requires a huge amount of exercise (not before 18 months) and a huge amount of training. It is the "hardest" of the gundog group and belongs to the HPR sub group Hunt, Point and Retrieve, and has an extremely strong hunting instinct which needs to be either controlled or properly utilised.

For more information why not join the Weimaraner forum UK; there you will find plenty of expertise at your fingertips (however no puppies for sale).

regards
